Not to far off??

Well our band is playing at Shakers right now. Kind of a small crowd
tonight. Anyways. This weekend is the last time we are playing at the
Pour House. I do not know if we are going to keep playing after Zac
leaves. Have not found a bass player yet. Not the end of the world.
At least now I can spend more time with my daughter when she gets here.

Well I have been very busy at work. Trying to fix a lot of stuff with our Employee Self Service Portal. Well I guess it is public knowledge now that Zac and Mel are moving to California. I am very happy for them. Mel got a promotion with Pacific Sunwear and now is the District Manager of the #2 area.

This Christmas Crystal let me get a brand new computer. It is an HP Media Center PC. It is really fast. It has the new Intel dual core processer, 1 gig of memory (soon to be upgraded to 2 gigs), 250 gig hard drive (also going to buy the 300 gig personal drive for music and video), and a DVD/CD burner with LightScribe. So far I have only had one issue with it. When I purchased the computer from Best Buy, they tried to sell me their “Best Buy extended warranty”. Me being the “Computer Nerd”, I told the lady that I didn’t need to get it. I had the computer for about 3 weeks before I tried to burn a music cd. To my amazement, I could not burn one. I could not even make a data cd. I was able to make DVD’s without any issue, but for some reason I could not make Crystal a music CD. So I called HP Support and the tech on the other end asked if I had purchased the extended warranty from Best Buy. Stupid. Well, after talking to them for about 20 minutes, the girl I was talking to said that I would have to send in the entire PC so that they can fix the drive. I told her no and said that I would take out the DVD/CD burner and mail it to them instead. After talking to her supervisor, she said that they would ship me a new DVD/CD burner and when I repaced the broken drive with the new one, just put the old one back into the box and ship it back to HP. After 2 days of waiting, I finally got my new drive and was able to burn CD’s. Crystal was pretty upset that I spent a lot of money for this computer and it was already needed repair. I hope that it was a fluke and that nothing else would go wrong for a while. (knock on wood). So needless to say, I am very happy with it. Never had my “own” computer with matching equiptment. You might be wondering why I got a new computer for christmas. Well, my IBM laptop (that I won from a conference) finally died. One night I was on the web, and my hard drive starting making clicking noises. thought nothing of it and shut it down for the night. The next day when I tried to boot up the system…….nothing. Completely dead. For some reason it could not find the hard drive. All my music, pictures, video were gone. I even tried booting up linux from a CD to see if it can find the drive, but it could not. My only option now is to send it to some and pay $$$ to get the data. Most of our pictures are on this site and Noah actually had some on his mac. Still trying to find someone that can do it for a reasonable price.

Another cool thing I got for christmas is a bluetooth headset for my phone. Crystals parents got it for me. It is the Motorola H500. I love it. It makes it a lot easier talking on the phone when I am driving. Still trying to find out how to hack it and change the ring tone.

A lot more has been going on but right now it is time to go home. Later.

Yes, Crystal and I are going to have a baby girl. She is still due April 12, 2 days before my birthday. We are still working on names, but we are down to only 2. Kylie and Kayla. It is really hard to find names that go with Galaviz. Everything up to this point is going good. Baby and Mom are healthy. Right along track. We have a video of the sonagram and I hope to get it put on a DVD soon.

Got lucky enough to have the next couple of days off so I hope to get some christmas shopping done. Also got our Christmas tree and the outside lights done. They look pretty good. I’ll post a picture later. Still working on the tree but finished putting the lights up. Does not look like we will be doing anymore decorating than that. Just don’t want to much to deal with while getting ready for the baby.

Well today is Monday and Crystal has an appointment with the doctor. =
When we get to work, I will let you know how things turn out. It is =
really cold today. 40 degrees right now, so I think winter has finally =
arrived. Not much happened this weekend. Did not mow the yard like I =
said I would but I did clean the house all day Sunday. Well Crystal is =
